MJF
HP Multi Jet Fusion fuses nylon powder with infrared energy. Dense, isotropic parts with consistent mechanical properties across the entire build. The machine we run when volume and strength both matter.
MJF
Production nylon. No support structures. Isotropic strength.
HP Multi Jet Fusion fuses nylon powder with infrared energy. Dense, isotropic parts with consistent mechanical properties across the entire build. The machine we run when volume and strength both matter.
HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) combines binder jetting with infrared fusing. An inkjet array deposits fusing agent onto a bed of nylon powder, then an infrared energy source passes over the bed to bond and fuse the particles together layer by layer. This produces the strongest, most consistent production-grade parts in our catalog — with isotropic strength and no need for support structures.
When to choose MJF
Mechanical performance needed
Batch consistency matters
Production quantities 50-5000+
Complex self-supporting geometry
Injection-molded nylon equivalent
Strengths
- + Production-grade strength
- + Self-supporting
- + Batch consistency
- + Isotropic strength
- + Cost-effective at volume
Limitations
- – Matte textured finish
- – PA12 and PA11 only
- – Dark gray/black color
- – Smaller volume than FDM
- – Larger min features

Nylon PA12
Strong, lightweight, chemical resistant. The standard for functional end-use parts. Excellent fatigue resistance and consistent mechanical properties.
Nylon PA11
Bio-based nylon with higher elongation and impact resistance. Ideal for parts requiring ductility and flexibility.
Nylon PA12 Glass Filled
40% glass-filled nylon. High stiffness and thermal stability for demanding structural applications.
