FAQ

How do I check my order status?

Use the chatbot on our website anytime. Enter your order number and email for a live update. You'll also get automatic notifications at every stage: confirmed, in production, dispatched.

How quickly can you turn around an order?

Lead times range from 1 business day (next day) to 2 (rush), 3 (standard), 5 (no rush), and 7 (extended) — depending on technology, quantity, and complexity. Use the lead time calculator at leadtimes.makelab.com to plan your project before you order.

What happens if there's a problem with my file?

We review every file before printing. If there's an issue, you'll get an email with specific feedback — what's wrong and what to change. You can fix and resubmit without starting over.

How much does it cost to print something?

It depends on three things: volume, lead time, and finish level. More parts bring the per-unit cost down. Faster turnaround costs more. Higher-quality finishes add to the price. The best way to get an accurate number is to use our instant quoter or submit a file — we'll give you a real price, not a range.

Are support structures removed?

Standard production includes support removal where feasible. Rush production does not — parts are dispatched as-printed. This is noted clearly at checkout.

What if my part arrives damaged or doesn't look right?

Email us photos within 7 days of delivery. Every part goes through 3-point QA — if something slipped through, we'll reprint it. We stand behind every order.

Is my design confidential?

Yes. We treat all files and project details as confidential. We don't share, sell, or reuse your designs without permission. NDAs are available upon request.

What file types do you accept?

STL, OBJ, 3MF, and STEP. Files should be watertight and dimensionally accurate. If your file has issues, we'll tell you exactly what to fix.
