What You’ll Be Doing:

This is not a passive internship—you’ll be embedded in the day-to-day of our marketing team, helping to shape how Makelab shows up to clients, partners, and the broader design and engineering community. If you’re organized, proactive, and love blending creativity with execution, this role is for you. Key responsibilities include:

• Content Planning & Brainstorms – Contribute to campaign planning, content calendars, and join creative brainstorms for social, email, and web content.
• Visual Content Creation – Capture photo and video content at our Brooklyn HQ and assist in editing short-form assets for marketing use.
• Graphic Design Support – Design visual assets in Canva using Makelab’s brand guidelines (bonus skill).
• Social & Email Marketing – Draft and schedule posts for Instagram and LinkedIn; support newsletter creation from concept through scheduling.
• Long-Form & Web Content – Assist in developing case studies, blog posts, and landing pages using research and AI tools.
• Content Organization & Workflow – Keep our marketing folders, calendars, and asset libraries clean and organized; support the team in hitting content deadlines.
• TikTok & Experimental Content – Bonus: support ideation and content creation for TikTok-style videos and experimental formats.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree or coursework in marketing, communications, design, or a related field.
• Strong writing and visual communication skills.
• Interest in digital marketing and content creation.
• Experience with Canva, Google Suite, and/or basic video/photo editing tools is a plus.
• Availability to be onsite at least once per week for shoots and team syncs.
